Absolutely... I've had bars shift on me from pulling on them or over a big bump but never loose like that at 70 MPH...that will wake you right up! Thankfully the loose bolts in this situation were just on the riser cover not the bar clamp itself. The bars were just a bit too far forward so I needed to remove the cover so I could adjust the bars, that's when I discovered the "handiwork" lol!

I RODE her!! First ride of the season.
Put down a solid 225+ kms (140 ish miles) in Reaper's saddle today. What a beauty ride. Windy as HELL, though, hahah!! Reaper purred along just perfectly.

Holy HELL, did I need that wind therapy. Instant bliss, and it lasts long after the ride is done.

Temps were between low 40s and mid-50s F. I got a chance to try out my new Warm And Safe heated jacket liner. It gets quite a bit hotter than my old Gerbing's liner, and I also go the chance to use the Warm and Safe wireless controller I bought with the liner. That's something I should have bought long ago. No more big spagehtti mess of wires going to and from the controller to the jacket, and bike. Just one cable coming from the liner to the co-ax socket I have mounted on the horn bracket. With my Gerbing's GT5 heated gloves, Avon heated grips, and proper thermal under garments, I was toasty warm for the 3.5 hours I was out and about.

Cheers!

Got the rest of my NOS tins for the Train and I can't wait to put them on, but I'm resisting since I need to finish my cam install on the FXR first.

Is there any wait time before putting freshly painted parts back on?

Heated jackets are great. I have the Venture jacket, it has a button on it to control the temp. The button has 3 levels hot , hotter and hottest. I very seldom use the hottest setting . One question . How much is your insurance where you live? Here in BC it has gone down quite a bit. I now pay $238.00 for the full year private insurance which covers collision, theft, (2002 fatboy with a vale set at $10,500.00) vandalism, animal contact ext.. Then I pay $ ICBC just for being able to ride on the road $525.00 for 6 months

Finally broke into the 50* days yesterday, so I put on about 80 miles before work! Very happy with the risers, exhaust sounds good, tune feels spot on, now I just need that dang seat to show up!
