I'm not sure where you ride. But I can assure you, you're definitely not going to catch the same scenery on a highway as you will the backroads of New England. I'll take the Mom n Pop dinner with real meals instead of some frozen entrée from an Olive Garden or some other chain. As far as fuel goes there's plenty of the big names, Shell, Mobil, Sunoco and so on. I guess we have different views on what a road trip is, I'd rather take my chances with that cow in the rode then a tractor trailer recap flying off at 80MPH.

I guess we just have different opinions on which roads we ride on but that is fine with me. If you like back roads that's what you like and I dont think you are wrong to like them same as I am not wrong to like freeways. Any ways I wish you an enjoyable and safe ride wherever you ride this coming summer. I will likely be doing all my riding in Canada as they still have the stupid testing when coming back to Canada from the states. I will really miss not getting to go to Sturgis for the third year in a row. Love that ride from BC

Didn't mean to start a debate. For the record, sometimes the ride isn't really the destination. Sometimes I really have somewhere to be, and for a weekender or so, I like to ride rather than drive. On those occasions, usually visiting family, the trip is mixed interstate and back road. It would be nice if I always had the time to take the scenic route, but sometimes I just don't.

Ride safe. Good post on where people like to ride. Each person hs there own preference and there is nothing wrong with that. The main thing is their bike is being driven not sitting in a garage wasting away

Temps are still cold and my garage isn't heated. Was waiting for somebody to come over and thought I'd begin pulling the fenders. The front is an aftermarket I put on after hitting a deer, and the rear is being replaced after getting hit by an inattentive driver. Fingers got cold so I only pulled the rear for now.

Will eventually have new fender struts, belt guard, clutch lever assembly, clutch cable, and new Boss Bags put on as weather permits.

Found a diamond ice paint set for $375. My yellow fatboy is now silver. I like it. Also just installed Progressive 422 HD shocks, new tires, and had cam chain tensioners checked.

Since I don't care for leather or chrome tank bibs, (I have had both) I prefer to see my tank which leaves an ugly hole by my seat. So I used an aluminum plate and some aircraft rivets and came up with this.
