Rode her 50ish miles in sub-40s temps, and loved it. (heated gear/grips + heavy leathers FTW! ). Then did a 3 hole oil change when I got back.
Still hoping to get some more ride days in before old man winter comes to stay. It'll depend on the city and if they decide to salt the roads, and of course, when the snow flies.
Cheers!

Got my wolo horn installed right in front of my left bag. It is tucked in above and inside of the passenger floorboard.
Also got my new highway peg brackets mounted on the engine guard.
Took her for a little spin a it is Much better.

G'day Fellas.
Made a start on the carb swap. Removed the old butterfly carb, manifold and compliance fittings. Mounted the new later style manifold with a flange type carb mount. Fitted a flange to the CV carb to match (just in case I want to go back to the butterfly) and a carb support from a later model so didn't need the breather set up.
I fired her up and sounds OK but CV's need an air filter. Now just waiting for it to arrive.
Cheers
