Default Nice day for riding

This was technically yesterday, since it's after midnight, but I rode to the rally in Boone NC with a buddy from work and a couple of his friends. It took about an hour and a half to get there from Winston Salem. They were all on touring bikes with their wives, I was on the fatty solo. It gave me a chance to throw the new clearview shield on and get some highway test miles in. I'm liking it so far. We hung out for about 4 hours or so, saw the bike show and biker games while enjoying a few cold ones. Then we took a little ride into Tennessee to Watauga Lake, and back to Boone. They went back to the rally for a bit, I split off and headed home solo. I got right at 250 miles in, and it was a beautiful day for it. Mostly sunny and low 70s in Boone

Default Cobra Slip Ons

Installed these Cobra #6003 slip ons in place of my stock mufflers on my 09 FXSTC. Back muffler came off with out a problem but the front was a pita. After a couple of hours and cussing finally got it off. Install was a breeze, everything lined up. Decided to to do slash cut down, end cap has multiple angle settings. Mufflers have a deep rumble and just the right sound I was looking for

Removed baffles from stock pipes. Replaced stock floorboards and brake pedal pad. Extended brake arm ordered.

Before...

After.

Default Jacked it.

I lifted it and rolled it around on the new jack that came today, just because I could. Even though it was after midnight when I got home and found the shipping box. Too cool.

Finally buttoned up my softail standard with new lifters and ez pushrods. Overall I ended up installing the screamin eagle hydraulic cam tentioner kit and new inner/outer bearings and andrews tw21 cams. I was pretty apprehensive about doing this work as I'd never done it before, but did ALOT of reading and searching the website for info and videos. Made a little clatter on that first hit of the starter button, but fired right up on the second!!! Took it for a spin, and so far so good, very happy

The question is... what WILL I be doing to the Softail?

I have the HD flat lens LED turn signals on the front and back. This past weekend I was out for a ride, activate the right side turn signals and the dash indicator is flashing fast. The front right turn signal is bad. The turn signals are sealed units and are not meant to be repaired, just replaced. They are only sold in pairs at $180 a pair. I have had these turn signals fail before; front and back. So, I went to my HD parts shelf in the garage and...
