Thanks mate I'll look it up. I'll see how much maintenance polished forks will take and if its too much then I'll have a chance at my 80,000 service (when they change the fork oil) to put in progressives and also get the forks chromed. I've just had the 60,000 a few weeks ago. Have a whole wish list of course like doing the handle bars and the seat (again) plus new (louder) pipes etc etc etc. But I'll get there. I'm a self funded retiree so no Government support so have to budget for these things. Ciao!

Picked it up from Southern Cycle today. They installed an S&S V96R, BDL extra plate clutch, 33 tooth front pulley, new drive belt, new starter, oil lines.

Nothing today, actually nothing for a few weeks. Very hot in TX nowadays.
She sits in the shed, awaiting riding season start (probably September).

Though I will be by her tonight. I'll turn on the A/C in the shed soon and need to load some .45 for a match this weekend. So I will oogle her and keep her company.

Agreed, it's HOT in Texas... I'm working on my 'list' of stuff , but it's so hot in the
garage, I have to go inside for frequent breaks.... Alternating water & gatorade....

keep hydrated!

It's damn hot & humid in Florida too! One reason I haven't attempted to tackle the passing lamp visors again yet...

Pulled the fuel level sender/top plate to adjust the sender's float. The gauge was showing empty when I still had 1/2 a tank left. I compared it to the one I replaced, and the arm was sitting a LOT higher, so I bent it down, and reinstalled it. Filled the tank. No leaks. Tomorrow, I will be going for a nice, long, ride, so I'll be able to test the accuracy then.

Cheers!

I have been meaning to do this too. Mine is also showing as empty when it's still half full. Of course I did do a 2" tank lift so I'm sure that didn't help but it's never really been accurate. Did you just bend the float arm?
