Sounds like those new wheels could've been the vibration problem?

I like them but what a fiasco finally getting them. Back wheel no issues. The first front wheel had many imperfections with the anodized process. Second front wheel was perfect but they didn’t ship my floating matching rotor. Rotor was delivered after 10 days went to install on bike wrong hub. Waited 5 days received the correct hub and all is good. I like the wheels but I won’t know how they will hold up because I traded My Heritage in and bought yesterday a ultra limited. Waste of money on wheels and new tires. I went on a 7 day ride and the vibration not do to the wheels starts coming on at 70+ mph. The service manager at my local HDD rides a 2018 Heritage and he asked me if I feel vibration at speeds. Yes I do, he experiences the same thing. I’m going on a 21 day ride in August and the first 2.5 days is interstate to Colorado. My Heritage wouldn’t be ideal for this trip . As soon as I test road the Ultra, I fell in love.
The back wheel only took .5 oz of weight and the front didn’t need any weights. So in that aspect, the wheel were tooled extremely well.
Hope this helps with your decision down the road.
keep safe

Sounds unpleasant but I am still interested. Thanks.

I envy your CO trip. Me and three others had planned for 6 months to take an 18 day trip. 2 days before leaving the whole trip fell apart - won't bore you but we are trying again in late September.

Stay safe and enjoy your trip!

I hope your trip materializes, nothing better to clear your head on road trips.
Keep safe my brother.

Finally finished up the throttle cable and front brake line replacements. Trying to get the brake system to pressurize was a huge pain, even with a bleeder kit, and took more time than I'm willing to admit and I spilled or leaked brake fluid everywhere. Hopefully the rear wont be as bad.

Picked up this '02 FXSTBI Frankenstein yesterday and removed the bags and 10 years of grime from the rear wheel today.
