What did you do to Your Softail Today?
Got the FP3 in the mail and installed it today. I used a map with high flow AC and Rush slip ons with 1.75" baffles. Did a 20 minute test run in the country and it ran great. Still very quite...might drill another hole or 2 in each of the stock baffles. It runs really good though...more power and no popping or flat spots

Changed the outer primary cover back to Reaper's original one that I repaired. I had a pretty significant leak at the derby cover (enough to have had a nice fine covering of oil mist from the primary back on the left side!), of the replacement outer primary cover, and I thought it was due to oil leaking past one of the screws whose hole that had been heli-coiled, but had been drilled through the blind hole by the shop that did the repair. Turns out it was the derby cover itself had cracked at 2 of the screw holes! No idea how that happened, as I always torque those screws at the low end of the factory spec (I use 90 in-lbs). So, I had to replace the nice Reaper cover with the stock plain black one, until I can get a replacement for the Reaper cover.
On the bright side: no more primary oil leak!
Cheers!

Had garage night last night at my house and 7 buddies rode over for wrenching, grilling and a few cold ones. We swapped out my linkage, did a SE high flow air cleaner and new cover, voltage regulator cover and drilled 3 holes (3/8”) in each of the stock muffler baffles (Samson Long Horns are backordered for 10 weeks). The drilled holes opened up the sound and will get me by until the Samsons come in.

I'd been on the hunt for a Le Pera bare bones for a while, whenever JP had stock they would sell out the next day and our Aussie distributors are useless.
Scored one cheap on FB marketplace, hardly used and advertised in the wrong section (horse saddles)
The plan is to get it recovered in some distressed brown leather with hand stitched edges (kid of like the below but darker and without the extra hand tooling)
Much happier getting a used seat cheap and stripping it vs usinga new one. This will be my saddle for short trips, still using my mustang for all day rides.
