Do a search on here for car tire info. Folks have done it and recommended a specific size tire thru trial and error...Tempting, but I would not do it because of the wrong shape...and potential for disaster...I have been running mostly dunlops e3 with good luck and a safe ride. The dunlop e3 thru dennis k. costs about half the price of a metz...Metz used to be made in germany but now in brazil since pirelli bought them and a few people have reported issues...the dunlop is $178.00 and the metzler is $308.00...they both ride the same to me, easy decision...PS I had a VeeRubber delaminate on me...STAY AWAY FROM THEM...

Fits the rocker on stock rim. It is snug without alot of room to spare but fits. The only thing is on the rocker, you have to leave off part of the belt guard, no big deal, mines been off for 3 years and covered with a Leatherworks leather swing arm bag. The dunlop e3 250 is what I have been running lately/works great. Looks good also. Good luck.

Id love to hear from a BO owner that puts a 250 or 260 on there as to how well everything fits. I'm sure I'll be due for a new tire before summer.

Looking at the Dunlop elite 3 250/40/18 for the rear of my 2015 breakout.
Orinal front tire 130/60/21 not available. 120/70/21 is available in the elite 3. These tires have excellent reviews and are long lasting.
anyone know what a 120/70 would look like on the front?
Dennis Kirk catalog has the best prices on these tires. 250 for $176.98
120 for $137.88. also considering the new rhino lining for motorcycle tires. if you havent seen it you should. Look up rhinotires on youtube. You will never have a flat again.

I have those exact size and model tires, but I have not put the front on yet. I bought them from DennisKirk. I will post pictures when I get the 120/70 mounted, I have just been lagging. Too many bikes to ride/mod and not enough time to do it all.

I bought mine from Surdyke for around $140, but see that they've jumped to $176

The one on the bike is still good and I have a new spare in hand, but looks like I'll need to look at the 120/70 when next buying a new one.

I put a Metzeler ME880 260 on my rear with no problem, looks awesome too, really filled in the rear fender nicely!

Yeah...old thread but at least I searched it, rather than make a new one.

Since I've had my Breakout, I've thought a lot about the cost and wear of the rear tire...mostly because I'm already seeing wear on it. But this thread has showed/shown me a lot on cost and tire pressure. Thanks to the posters here.

Are you sure you didnt forget about a tire change? I've never heard of anyone getting that much mileage. I'd be happy with 7000.
