Good point. Guess it depends on what kind of riding one does. Think I still lean too much for my ride.

Will the Metzeler 260/40 fit a Breakout? I know it will a Rocker, and reports are it will wear and handle better than the stock Dunlop, although I got 7500 out of my stock rear.

Not a Breakout but my rear tire needed to be replaced at 15,000 because of the highway riding I do. He said I needed to do more curves and less straight. That's way too soon for a tire needing to be replaced.

I would never do it on my sport bike but you can't ride the side walls on a Breakout like on a GSXR. I drag the pegs on a regular turn. I have seen a few people with them on their bikes. Not sure if I would do it, I guess if replacing the tires becomes a burden, but I doubt it. I would go through a set on my GSXR every year. Will be no different on the Breakout.

I'd be damn happy with 15,000.
I'm averaging less than half that on a Slim.

Are you serious? Heck, even my ol' lady goes through rear tires at about 5000 miles. And it ain't from braking.

15,000 miles on a tire, lmao. That's nuts. Chickin must really live up to his name.

15000 miles on any rear motorcycle tire is unreal. When I bought my CVO Breakout, I knew what I was in for as far as tire wear. Being cool isn't cheap. LOL. Just saying.

I went through the stock back tire on my Blackline in 6000 miles.

It will work....When I bought my train it had a low profile car tire on the rear. It is definitely not for me. You could actually feel the flat of the tire jump onto the corner of the tire when turning. I only know this from the test ride which I was super sketchy about and the ride to get a MC tire put on, once I got the bike home. To each his own but I get Michellin Commanders in 200mm for just under $160 shipped and get 8k miles out of them. That's about a tire every season and a half.
