sold, now I would not buy it or otherwise immediately do a tank swap with the Fat Boy or something.

I'll start this post with "everybody likes different things, and THAT'S OK!!!" That being said, I am also not that keen on the 18+ Breakout frame, nor the smaller tank. Alot of what attracts me to the Breakout is the look of a rigid frame. The 18+ swingarm doesn't look like it's actually part of the frame. Having those smooth frame lines really makes the 13-17 Breakouts pop, IMHO. But, then again, I like choppers (if you couldn't tell by my screen name), so having a softail that LOOKS like a rigid chopper is my personal cup of tea.

To me, this older style Breakout looks a lot lower and longer than the new models. The tank
fills in the front fork area and the top of the engine much better. Even the tank and seat flow
together better on the older models. The tank on the newer style Breakout make the bike look
more like a Sportster (taller and shorter length).
But, your right, there is a style for everybody. I just don't understand why Harley changed the
tank because the earlier Breakouts were just about perfect in style & lines.

Medford Dragstrip 2020. 130 Mph Quarter on pump gas
My version of what a Breakout should be. If it doesn't make horsepower it won't go on the bike. 107", PR3 Race flywheels with Timkin race bearings, Carrillo rods and Pistons at 10.25:1, Stage three port and polished and bathtubbed heads, 7/16 head studs, 570 blower cam, S&S lifters and pushrods, S&S High output oil pump and billet cam plate, Procharger B1 supercharger with 14 lb of boost ( roughly 20:1 at 14 lbs boost) 208hp 180 tq, at 6450 RPM, Drago's Dragula stepped exhaust,Screaming Eagle comp. sprocket, AIM lockup clutch, Baker Race Transmission with race shift ( nuetral is all the way down and gears are all up N123456.), Chain drive 24 and 54 rear. And yes I have a small backrest so I don't slide off the back.....lol
