I hope to have the 2013 chrome turbines, sprocket, and 250/40 on her by the weekend.

Also, thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful ideas and information!

Yeah I did that yesterday going round a mini roundabout. Not sure you have these in the states but its basically a curbed round circle at a road junction instead of traffic lights about 6 meters sorry, 20 feet in diameter. I was late for work and chucked it over to turn and bang the bottom of the brake pedal at the pivot point hit the ground, it caused the back wheel to jump out of line a little bit and took a good scrape off the pedal arm. Nothing else was scrapped though. Mine has stock suspension.

Nice looking breakout you got there Parad0x

Bike looks good. Needs a flush mount front axle though.

Hello fellow Breakout riders- Just picked up a "new to me" 2013 Breakout w/ 600 miles on it. Originally an all-black model. Owner had it custom painted metallic gunmetal (really nice paint work), added a PM Paramount front wheel, SE intake, VH pipes, black cables, HD knurled grips / pegs, powdercoat black rear fender strut. All I've done to it so far is remove the side and tail reflectors.

So far enjoying it but there are a couple things I'd like to improve- cornering clearance, ride quality (very bouncy on freeway) and some more TQ grunt from 2000-4000 RPM. I do mostly town riding, not much freeway.

My other bike is a 2001 Big Dog FXR-style chopper, 107 motor / baker 6 putting out about 120hp/tq at the rear, with 3.34 gearing. 595lb bike. damn thing is a rocket and you can throw it deep in the corners. but since it is on the ragged edge of performance it can be temperamental- so I got the Breakout as the 'reliable weekend bike' to take the missus out on.

Anyway- what would you all suggest as hp/tq upgrades on the Breakout, taking HD warranty into consideration? Anyone do mods to improve cornering clearance? smooth out ride?

Thank you - here are some pics of the Breakout and below that my Big Dog

Big dog 107 monster, a.k.a "holy crap hang on"
