Got the rear fender (new turn signal internals replaced and was a complete pain) and handle bars mounted today.

Yes. I debated getting into the rocker box covers, tappets etc... but every time I saw it on another bike, it looked really tight. You are correct on the oil tank...painted to match fenders and gad tank. Just wanted it to have a very custom look

bought these brake and shift levers from Roland Sands and neither fits a 2014 Breakout. Spoke with their tech rep and sent them a video only to have them tell me their website was wrong and they would accept a return.

question is...has anyone found any nice shift and brake levers out there? I’ve looked far and wide and it’s tough to find something that looks super tight.

The Harley ones out of the 2014 Breakout Accessory Catalogue are not bad.

Yes. I have a set of those in black on hand and will likely use them. The only thing I don’t like is the big integrated brake pedal pad.

I've tried a few different pegs. I keep coming back to straight H-D pegs (not the dog-leg pegs that come on the bike). I don't know what bike they're actually for, but they swapped in perfectly. They were just hanging on the accessory wall at the Stealership. They have thick rubber that lasts a while lol

The one thing that still bugs me is the rear brake pedal. The pad itself is too big. I'd rather have a peg --- like the shifter peg. I picked up a spare rear brake lever/arm/whatever. I'm going to cut off the short section where the pad slips on, drill a hole in the top of the arm where the peg should be, weld in a short section of internally threaded tube for the peg, then have the thing re-chromed.

Here's my port side straight peg and very inexpensive Drag Specialties heel/toe shifter. The shifter pegs are just extensions, 1 at the heel and 2 at the toe. The red arrow shows where I drilled and tapped the shifter arm to accept a set screw which extends into a circumferential groove on the shifter spline. It works perfectly to ensure the shifter doesn't work its way off the spline more effectively than the pinch bolt alone. Nothing but the heel of my boot touches the ground when I bank to the left and the setup is very ergonomic. Rear break pedal is a stock upgrade with a chrome HD emblem.

.
Another view, taken before the brake pedal upgrade:

I like the HD Edge Cut I'm using on my 14 BO...
