Those 204s sure sound different from the stock ones especially if you lower idle rpms to the save min at about 950. But after all it's the gain in performance you get with them. But to optimize you should get it dynoed properly.

Well damn, my ignition thumb lever fell off somewhere while I was down at Thunder Beach today. I stopped by the dealer and they only sell the whole ignition assembly, even though the thumb **** has it's own part number (71796-11). Has anybody found an aftermarket replacement?? $209 for the whole assembly plus a rekey is highway theft...

They can be bought seperate, I while back was one on Ebay new in HD wrapping for £15 or $19,76. You can make one yourself, on a German forum a member lost his and made one on his lathe.

Not so good looking as the oem but functional.

Your part n° is correct

That's a good idea - just a knurled ring with a set screw.

I wonder if you could machine it so closely that you'd have to heat the ring in order to get it onto the switch. Then when it cooled off it'd be on so tight that it would never come off. The set screw could be eliminated.

That could be possible, I work in metric system and if I want to shrink something I give it a few 100ste of a mm tension, then heat it so it expand and put it over
the part where it needs to be shrinked on. The only disadvantage of heating is the coloring of the metal, I would have used RVS for this and after heating so it
expands it will be colored brown blueish.

Has anybody seen the 3D printed *****?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Printed-...h/202668396336

It't not the original shape as the factory ****, but looks like it may work. There isn't a "thumb" **** on it, but I guess you can still grip it to turn the ignition. Thoughts?

Just finished one up yesterday. Made a couple extra at the same time, I did mine with a small peg on top so it could be turned easily and then powder coated
it satin black. Also did the flat on the bottom to match the HD switch so there would not be any gap. Also finished up my oil temperature gauge. Machined out the
OEM Breakout oil dipstick and inlayed a temperature gauge with a long enough stem so that it can be used as a dipstick too.
