One more thought before you return it: I THINK this may be the exhaust that a previous poster (24V possibly??) said worked once you inserted a washer/spacer in the mounting to kick the back end of the exhaust outward. I know this is the solution suggested for one system, but am not sure if it was this system or not.

Thanks for the reply Jim, I actually tried everything I even made a flat plate bracket thinking that would work but as soon as i tightened the headers up it just pulle everything in to the frame, even the front header touched the engine when i tightened it up, so I'll either get the right one re ordered tommorow or a change of system so not all is lost, I have done a bit of research and this is just my assumption, the Arlen Ness/Mf one states it doesn't fit the breakout, but just the Magnflow one lists as they do one for the fxsb. so might be worth noting.

Thanks to the link provided here for the proper shim, i was able to put on my new bars this week.

I also got new mirrors, flush mount gas cap, and blacked out struts and levers.

I'm so in love.

I just installed the Bassani Road Rage on my Breakout a few weeks ago. I freaking like them. The sound and looks are amazing.

i totally agree with that, as HD said my long shots wouldn't fit but they did, now they tell me this is the correct #no for the ness pipe which clearly isn't, I took another look last night just to satisfy myself, and the only way this system is going to fit my bike is by physically cutting a v in the headers then welding it so it turns the rear pipe outwards then that gives the problem of making another fixing bracket. So for how much this system cost me I'm going to return it today , I've done plenty of research so I'm armed with a few systems I like and part numbers so let's hope it's a better result for me today.
thankyou for the answers guys and I'm always open for advice.

Reports are that the pipe doesn't make power...they do look great though.
