Whats to hate ? HD ownership is supposed to be about not marching in lock-step and your mods are continuing proof of the versatility of the FXSB in particular. "Nice job on em".

I said "here comes the hate" because I've seen numerous people on numerous occasions scold Breakout owners for putting bags on a FXSB. I agree, the bike looks so much better naked. While I would never put bags as a permanent item, the occasional trip would suffice. Buying a bagger just for long trips is pretty ridiculous when the Breakout can tour with a few mods, no problem.

Basically, I was implying to the people who were ready to state the already obvious. Breakouts are fugly with bags, let alone added trunk.

What do you have to buy 2 bikes, or modify it for the occassion.

Breakout is Bad *** looking machine in its normal configuration.

Your traveling and it sure looks safer than some of the other bikes out on a trip with stuff hanging off and/or piled very high.

Looks like you have a safe traveling setup.

There's looking and there's being. I've been working at sea for 25 + years and can guarantee when I lash gear to a sissy-bar, its staying on the sissy-bar. Others have acquired those skills in different ways, I'm sure. For the rest of you, they make cable ties and duct tape.

LADog

I was wanting to know how you installed the rizoma custom mirrors. I got a set for my 2016 breakout and the screw it came with is too thick and too short to fit on my bike. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

> VH Big Radius 2-2 pipes with BCT baffles
> PM wheels
> Pirelli night dragon tires
> EBC HH front brake pads
> Arlen Ness 70t rear pulley and triglide 30t front pulley (sticky at top of softail forum)
> Gunmetal Gray metallic paint from House of Kolor
> ol school HD tank badges
> custom seat by local upholstery shop, alcantara suede with plain Italian leather
> Andrews 57h cams
> stock 46mm throttle body bored to 50mm, 4.9 screaming eagle injectors (any softail / dyna 46mm throttle body from 2007-up will work). had the boring service done by George at www.maxbore.com for $125
> Powervision tuner with Target Tune wide band add on
> Racetech 1.0kg fork springs with Ricor Intiminator dampers, 5w fork oil. (sticky at top of softail forum)
> Progressive 422 rear shocks lowered 1.25" (but I don't really like them)
> micro stealth front led turn signal bulbs from amazon / JDM ASTAR - there is a thread on this in the softail section here "$22 diy turn signals"
> 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap on tank dash and fork upper tubes
> black powdercoated rear fender struts, black painted rear turn signal housings, lots of various bolt heads painted black
> black headlight housing trim ring (ebay)
> spike front axle cap nut covers (ebay)
> knurled design gunmetal HD grips and front pegs
> Rizoma Circuit 851 mirrors (got the idea from some custom BO's on thunderbike.de website)

If you saw the mirror setup on the Thunderbike website you might want to send them an email or call them. They speak English and will be happy to help you.
