While on the subject of replacement grips, pay attention to the amount of any METAL on the actual grip area. In places like Austin, Texas, where The Sun is BRIGHT and daytime summer highs hit 108 occasionally, any metalm on the grips is not only uncomfortable, it can actually burn your hands if you don't wear gloves.

New Avons
Installed new Avon Cobras on the Breakout today.
120/70-21 & 250/40-18.
They look great and I'll give them a spin on Saturday.
I was considering the Metz 260 but decided on the Avons because:
(1) I've had them before and loved the ride and handling,
(2) I got both of them for under $300.
(3) I've gotten great mileage from them in the past.
(4) They handle great.
Here's the best part. I removed the wheels, then removed the brake rotors and pulley before taking them to my local Yamaha dealer.
To remove the old tires, dispose of them, mount and balance the new ones they charged me a total of $59.00 including tax. I thought that was pretty good,
Here are picks of the back wheel. I'll have complete photos after I get my powder-coated parts back.
120/70-21 & 250/40-18.

I sent them a graphic of the emblem I wanted on my covers and they did a perfect job. Took them 4 weeks including overseas shipping but wasn't cheap

Was thinking on doing the same for the tire change. Does the pulley and rotor have to be removed for the rear tire change? How about the front rotor?

Looks good man, I have been eyeing these tires also. Class act doing front and rears at the same time...really the only way when changing brands or models IMO.
