Thanks. I have some Avon Velvet Air Grips on my Sporty, I'll probably just go with another set, I'm mostly happy with them. Think I'm grabbing the Harley Cruise Control too, install em at the same time.

I have the stock grips wrapped in 10oz buffalo hide. Keeps them from being too hot or to cold and increase the diameter just enough to make it feel right.

I could never resort to use of the hide of a legendary and noble North American plains animal.

Anyone know where I can get this done in Panda ?

Bored off my *** at work, found a site that does custom derby covers and the like. There ever been a cool logo for the Breakout? I might just have someone draw some and see what happens.

Default New Avons

Installed new Avon Cobras on the Breakout today.
120/70-21 & 250/40-18.
They look great and I'll give them a spin on Saturday.

I was considering the Metz 260 but decided on the Avons because:
(1) I've had them before and loved the ride and handling,
(2) I got both of them for under $300.
(3) I've gotten great mileage from them in the past.
(4) They handle great.

Here's the best part. I removed the wheels, then removed the brake rotors and pulley before taking them to my local Yamaha dealer.
To remove the old tires, dispose of them, mount and balance the new ones they charged me a total of $59.00 including tax. I thought that was pretty good,
Here are picks of the back wheel. I'll have complete photos after I get my powder-coated parts back.

I got my custom covers from Custom Engraving LTD.
I sent them a graphic of the emblem I wanted on my covers and they did a perfect job. Took them 4 weeks including overseas shipping but wasn't cheap

Duke, can you post photos of the belt to tire clearance when you can.

I'm ***,uming you;re running the stock pulleys. I have the belt guard on and can't see it, but I put my hand in there and there appears to be at least 1/4" of clearance. Hope that helps.

Looks good man, I have been eyeing these tires also. Class act doing front and rears at the same time...really the only way when changing brands or models IMO.

Was thinking on doing the same for the tire change. Does the pulley and rotor have to be removed for the rear tire change? How about the front rotor?

I removed mine because I didn't want to take a chance on them getting damaged or being charged extra labor if they needed to be removed. That's the easiest port of the entire job.
