I don't know if I am going to change the front tire yet. It is nowhere near needing it, and it seems to be a decent tire. I don't really care if the pattern isn't exactly the same front and rear.

Well, my 'Fly Screen' from National Cycle came in yesterday, got it installed last night. I'm not a big fan of wind screens, but I'm also not a huge fan of being exhausted after a few hours of being on the bike. It's small-ish, and seemingly unobtrusive, and I wanted to get you other breakout owners opinions.. The only thing I was really disappointed on was the clamps. The outer half of the clamp is chrome and the inner half is flat black. You'd think that both halves would be chrome? They also suggest you buy the handlebar clamps to go with it, another $24, which I did, and the screws for those clamps were too short. I may go and find longer allen screws for that and see what it looks like mounted to the bars. Here's a few shots.

I went with the QD model by HD. As you can see, it interfered with the placement of a second (passing lamp) I'm installing using a DK custom bracket. I've had the windshield mounting frame machined so that the screen tilts back a little further since this pic was taken. I'll post a picture of the resulting setup when I return from overseas.

for anyone curious.... took a few ideas from 24v and slightly modified. removed the license plate and rear turn signal extensions and bolted them straight up.
then got a kury curved & lighted license plate kit and swingarm mount. removed the LEDs and sent it off for powder coating. came out pretty damn good!
