Unfortunately, the 110 engine has proven to be unreliable when souped up, and at least initially, even unreliable in stock form (rear cylinder heat problems). All the performance engines are built using the 103 engine for that reason.

The 110 though is a great torquer.

yup gotta confer w/ Jim on that 110- it's a turkey (no insult to you CVO owners, just my own thoughts in general). first thing anyone should do is change out the cams so it will run better and cooler. It's a shame HD never designed a 107" to replace the 110.

dsalvi brought some great points and I concur as well. Whomever was in charge of this redesign has sand in their head (IMO). Unfortunately this is going to reflect poorly in FY 2016 sales numbers. You are a potential new customer- you see some guys riding on '13-'15 CVO BO's- you're like, man that's bad *** i'm going to the dealership. You get there, see the new 2016 CVO S and are like "wtf?" - Now you go looking for a 2015 used CVO BO with low miles ;p

I will say the revision to inverted forks is a fine idea, one can only hope they did not use dual rate crap springs in there and the damping is actually effective.

I don't see why a 21" would not fit back on there so that would be a "must do" on the new CVO along with a correct 120/70 tire. Would need a new fender though.

upside of this at least, there are now more black factory parts available to BO owners.

You nailed it LA. Certainly anyone who frequents this forum (this thread) has noticed, courtesy of; Yourself, 24V, Texas, and many others, that a lot can be done with a stock Breakout plus "10 grand"!! . You certainly don't have to settle for what HD's designers consider,,, special ?? . Its blowing smoke up no-one's *** to say you've all created custom BO's that blow that 2016 CVO right out of its sox.

thanks HK - one thing so strong about this particular model is you can do it up so many different ways and it comes out sweet. it's a great foundation to start with. And I'm yeh- getting close to $10k considering paint and the wheels. totally frivolous though, the stock wheels look great and the factory black paint was pretty nice. The long time guys here like 24v helped be get some great ideas based on things they have already done and info provided. i don't own anything that is not modded at some point. even the toaster. ;p

still nothing compared to some of the professional builders- ThunderBike, for example, and this sweet "SSR" exclusive build http://cyrilhuzeblog.com/2014/08/11/...nough-for-you/

So what's HD's excuse? 500 ways to do mods that look great, and they screw it up?? lol

I'm really liking the new Lowrider S. Might be the bike that draws me from my Breakout.

Yeah they didn't make a CVO Breakout in 2015.

I'd have to agree- that is a nice looking bike. You like the 110" though? I guess HD got one out of two right this year

Hey guys hope everyone's great. Just added the stage 4 pro kit to my breakout. I've been running it with the VH big radius exhaust and their having a bit of issue dialing in a good map. Anyone have some experience with this? Or recommendations on a good dyno guy South Dakota area? Thanks.

And for giggles finally got the new air cleaner on...
