Used to live in Geelong, how do you like the 'non US' license plate holder?

between 3 dealers near me they only have one on the floor, all 3 dealers are owned by the say company. it's not a big seller here. the more i look at it the more i like it. don't know why i don't see more of them on the road.. same with the blackline, don't see much of them on the floor or on the road.

Happy Holidays everyone-

Here is a mod I posted on how to add the new super bright red LEDs to your tail light buckets. This is a 20 minute, easy mod with good results. I use clear honeycomb lens outer covers with these red bulbs- smoke lenses are cool too. Will work with red lenses, you don't want to put white leds behind a red lens or it looks pinkish.

No need to do all that. These bulbs are just as good, cheaper, and fit right in with no mods.

Yep that is another choice and already known- but - my DIY has to do with the higher quality bulbs that use the bigger LED chipsets (5730 etc), driver ICs and projector lenses. Better lights, much brighter for daytime use and a better difference between "tail" and "stop". And thanks to Amazon, they costs $10 less for the pair w/ free ship (That's a pretty hefty price to pay $15/bulb for the older small 3014 leds, no heat sinks, and no driver IC - plus shipping - so not sure why you said they are cheaper? !)

Price aside, the main issue I had with the bulbs like the one you linked to, and the flat board style, is very little difference between 'tail' and 'stop', and in direct sunlight, they don't stand out. If you try the brighter ones like in my mod you'll see what I mean. Daytime, direct sun, they still pop.

This is a very simple mod so there is no big effort involved, and it does not prevent running filament bulbs or anything else. Hope this helps.

The bulbs I posted are plenty bright and there is a noticeable difference between running and stop. I ride a lot and have never heard anyone complain or had any issues with people running into me.
I was wrong on the price as I assumed they were per bulb.
