i figured out these are all Japan bikes- more than likely the parts were sourced here:
http://japan.webike.net/bm/brd/Exhau...DERS/1001/203/
I'm browsing around and see some parts I don't see anywhere else. Yen conversion is decent right now.

this is a nice looking set of pipes:

this is a nice looking set of pipes:

They look like leg burners the way they are two pipes thick at the cams.

I had some like that and burnt everything

I agree that is a lot of heat at the cam chest.

Some pretty sick one of a kind pipes at FSD: http://www.fsdexhausts.com/pages/one-of-a-kind

the Akropovic is not entirely out of the question either:

I see a performance drop, a seriously hot air intake and filter housing, and a HUGE imbalance in front cylinder versus rear cylinder back pressure.

I also see the hot exhaust coming out RIGHT underneath your thighs, which will certainly keep you warm (burned maybe even ) on cold days, but really **** you off on hot days.

Don't do it LA-Dog . . .

I ride way too much to have rolled the dice on something like any of those. Really it's probably that I am partial to 2 n 1 s. Kind of the minority I know. Dog in sure you'll find something that works good and looks right for you.

yeh I'm mostly just goofing off. i won't buy anything that does not actually work decently and certainly would not pay $1k / up for a cool looking but marginally functional set of pipes. Unfortunately form does not always follow function. If I'm just thinking performance only then there's no question in a 2-1.

I still want something different though - ain't it always like that?

Appears to me they are the same length. Why do you say there's a difference in back pressure? The loop?
