Awesome! I love that see through stuff! I have the clear derby cover but now you got me thinking about getting some more.
Can you post a profile picture of the whole bike, with the tank lifted.
Finished my tank lift. I did it primarily to reduce the aspect of the the apes. I'm convinced the Breakout was meant to have apes but just felt the need to camouflage em somewhat. I think it worked,, but I'm biased

Lots more if you follow the link above. Yep, Like DK has stated, this is the way HD tanks should be mounted. Its a shame to hide the rocker covers really and as I understand it, a cooler running V-Twin can't be a bad thing.

Ok, let's make this thread the place to post about anything having to do with the Softail Breakout. Maybe you just bolted on a sweet new part and you want to show it off? Can't find the part your looking for? Need a little advice on what looks best on a Breakout? This can be the place we discuss it. I'll post a pic just to get the thread going.
I'm looking for a smart waterproof USB port for my iPhone! Any ideas out there and also where to place it.
Cheers

Or a shorty mounted up under the seat somehow... but that would be a little bothersome to get to after a while... maybe even a toolbag mounted to the bars?

I asked my stealer to install a standard 12V acc. power socket so I can use a standard USB adapter (short one, see pic) . This will be stored under the seat. from there I run a long connector cable (standard USB to micro USB) under the tank to the front where it plugs into my Samsung Galaxy. Then I only need to use a small cap for the micro usb plug if not in use.

Best place for something like that on a Breakout would be inside a swing arm bag.... make a small mount inside the bag to hold it in place. Closest thing to making it waterproof...
