The Blackline looks killer on your bike... really makes it.

Looks great and I might enquire locally, as this is where they tan it.

I have had it on there for over a year now and love it. No sliding around.. no problems with jeans either. It actually smooths out a bit. Plus I wanted something really dark black, and it really looks cool when the sun its it.

Give it time. I used to have a stingray wallet and it wore out the insides of my work trousers and my jeans. Almost bulletproof! :-)

It will also go white across the tips of the surface cones in time and will look even better with age.

You got me thinking - that would be seriously nice if I had my Danny Gray recovered with it..

if it goes white then it should only be on top, you think ? It looks like he also only has it on the top and I was wondering how it would look like if its fully covered ?

Yes. If you look at the surface with a magnifying glass (if you have eyesight like mine, anyway), you will see that the surface is closely packed "nodes" and the tops of those will whiten in time and it will look seriously classy.

From memory, I seem to remember that saddle soap it the better conditioner, as long as you make it real foamy.

Like I said, that stuff is tanned just a few clicks from here, so I need to go see what I can discover.

Default Oil coolers...

Anyone here running an oil cooler and if so, why?

As an apprenticed engineer in a former life, I can't quite get my head around the need for one, but I'm interested to hear you thoughts, experiences and opinions.

Fire away!

Default oil cooler

Im defenetely not an engineer, but the Japanese summers are VERY hot and humid, so I felt my BO could explode anytime. Did it help after I installed the cooler......not really sure !

No, it definitely won't hurt if you live in a hot climate, but why spend if you don't need it?

I'm really asking if anyone sees a tangible benefit, or has high-end engineering knowledge that points towards one.

Let's face it, our bikes are hardly Moto GP machines, are they? ;-)
