Looking for both solo... and something the wife can handle (when she wants to go..) that still offers me some sort of support (2-up )... BTW... nice work you did on your BO... been following your post from day one... really liked when "the wheels got a little blacker...and the tire got a little wider.." very nice... thanks again...

The Danny Gray seat is great. I wouldn't trade it for any other. Great support so you don't slide off the bike, and plenty comfortable for long rides.

Sorry for change of topic, but I'm just looking at rear fender options. I have recieved a quote from lottermann's for $2149.00aus for a fully delivered to australia rear fender complete with under tail led tail lights, which also works with stock seat.

Have seen quite a few heartland kits getting around on breakouts but looking at around $3000.00 delivered without tail lights.

And I am still waiting to hear back from ricks motorcycles.

Is the heartland worth the extra dollars to than also look like the rest of the heartbreaker bikes getting around? And has anyone had any experience with the german manufacturers?

The German parts are top quality and you can't really fault them but they are almost exclusively the shorter style rear fender where with the Heartland at least you have three options with the length. I spent two years posted in Berlin and I had a lot of Thunderbird parts on my Fatboy back then and never had an issue.

It's certainly not a cheap mod to do and it's not something I won't do to my Breakout because I actually like the rear fender. It's even better when it's been lowered and doesn't look like a truck.

So in summary, if you want the shorter or rounder rear fender don't discard the German stuff but in saying that the Heartland kit is well done and the inbuilt LED signals in the struts are a nice touch.

Thanks. Yeah I'm thinking I'll go german as they seem to be a lot less common.
