Hey Hunter,
I noticed in your pics it looks like you have flipped your risers 180 degrees and your bars are sitting higher. How tall are you and how do you find the change. I ask as I am quite tall(6'4") and have been looking at different ideas to bring the bars up a litttle higher. Are you leaning forward much more than the standard setup now?
Cheers

Hunter, I noticed you trees are powdercoated. I've got my bars and risers off right now because I'm in the middle of installing apes. I was debating on removing both trees and having them coated but got kinda intimidated by the photos in the service manual. Looks like there are a lot of moving components in there. Was removal and installation pretty straight forward as long as you put everything back how it came out, or is there more to it? Any insight is appreciated. I'm pretty good with a wrench, but don't want to mess anything up in the front end. Thanks for the help!!

A little clarification to the above post. I looked at the manual again. I guess my question boils down to IF i removed the upper and lower bracket from the steering head WILL the bearings and bearing races STAY INSIDE the steering head, or will they FALL OUT of the steering head once the upper and lower mount with the fork stem are removed??
The manual states if the bearing races are removed then the bearings need to be replaced...so I'm assuming those will stay inside the head unless I force them out??

I think it's from the dealership when the finish the assembly.
There are rubber bushings in the risers and they don't torque them down evenly.
I re-tightened my and it improved
