Hey harty, I'm 6'2. The bars are actually really nice for me in that position. They sit a little more forward and up which makes me sit better. I think you should try it out since you are 6'4. It's real easy to flip the risers around. I had to do that because my blackline tank cover was rubbing the speedo so I had to improvise. At 6'4 you might be very happy doing this. Let me know how it goes if you try it.

Just put a 250 Dunlop on the rear... I can definitely see the difference. Thanks 24v for the idea.

Hunter, I noticed you trees are powdercoated. I've got my bars and risers off right now because I'm in the middle of installing apes. I was debating on removing both trees and having them coated but got kinda intimidated by the photos in the service manual. Looks like there are a lot of moving components in there. Was removal and installation pretty straight forward as long as you put everything back how it came out, or is there more to it? Any insight is appreciated. I'm pretty good with a wrench, but don't want to mess anything up in the front end. Thanks for the help!!

A little clarification to the above post. I looked at the manual again. I guess my question boils down to IF i removed the upper and lower bracket from the steering head WILL the bearings and bearing races STAY INSIDE the steering head, or will they FALL OUT of the steering head once the upper and lower mount with the fork stem are removed??

The manual states if the bearing races are removed then the bearings need to be replaced...so I'm assuming those will stay inside the head unless I force them out??

Bearings will not be affected. They stay on the stem.

Mine does
I think it's from the dealership when the finish the assembly.
There are rubber bushings in the risers and they don't torque them down evenly.
I re-tightened my and it improved

Swapped the tank emblem out. I think this is more fitting.
