Default Breakout Jiffy Stand

Judging from a number of posts I've read on several sites, the BO's jiffy stand is a point of concern for many, "but not all" BO owners. My own stand has never folded up on its own but is nonetheless sloppy and NOT confidence inspiring.

I'm looking for tips / suggestions from BO owners who have found ways of dealing with this via adjustment, replacement, whatever, ??.

Thanx.

The "foot" on all the stands needs to slide sideways on the ground to lock into position. The Breakout stand is more vertical, so it can bind against the ground rather than sliding, and fail to lock into position.
I just keep rocking the bike against the stand (front brake on) until I see it slide far enough on the ground and lock into position.

Mine fell over. Harley told me it is normal. My dealer fixed my damage no charge and was so ashamed of lack of support from Harley. I will never buy from any other dealer. Just bought my 2014 two ago because of how they took care of me on my Break out

I am just aware of it everytime I use the stand, and make sure it is locked in place before i let go of the bars.
