Heritage Rear Caliper Bolt removal with Longshots
I apologize in advance if this thread is covered elsewhere - please redirect me if it has been as my search turned up empty - but after a series of poor luck events, I have a flat rear tire within 300 miles of the last one.
I have V&H Longshots which are directly in the way of using a Torx socket with a ratchet to remove my rear caliper bolts. I've resorted to using a pair of vice grips on the socket itself to back the bolts out, but it's a pain in the @ss.
Is there a trick I'm missing or a low clearance Torx socket I'm not aware of to keep me from having to pull the bolts from my rear exhaust mount just to get enough flex out of the pipe to make this poor workaround possible?
