Most comfortable seat

RE: Most comfortable seat
I bought the Mustang wide solo w/backrest for my heritage. The back rest is good, but I am not overly happy with the solo. The way it is made causes the seat to cut/press into my legs. Also it tapers in at the front a lot more than the factory seat, allowing you to get a rather warm leg from the rear rocker box if you're not careful. I put a sheepskin on itfor trips. I'll probably get it retrimmed later.

I had the HD Sundowner on my Deluxe. Not a bad seat but I replaced it with the Mustang wide vintage with backrest and am very happy. Now it feels like I'm sitting in a lazy chair and can ride all day.

Bill Mayer Saddles: Rocky (Bill Mayer) builds essentially seamless leather saddles on the stock seat-pans for my recent bikes – have slightly over 60K miles on `em, and even though I’m a refuge from the geriatric ward and anything but hard-core, I can comfortably (comfortably) do 1000 mile days – several times have knocked out 3500 miles in a four-day weekend with enough time for a Saturday night date in the middle -- sleep in the saddle and go again... there is none-better in my book, although it is fair to say there probably ain’t no such things as a perfect motorcycle saddle builder for everyone...
The best seat is the one that fits yer butt... no matter who makes it... generally there are seats and then there are saddles... seats come in many variations, often dictated as much by style and what the off-the-shelf seat builderthinks will fit the "generic" rider-- plus the rider’s pocket-book as much as anything... saddles tend to be slightly larger, custom built for a specific rider and with the proper foams designed to heft the generous anatomy of beef-fed baby-boomers. I've found ithard, if not impossible, to have frame-hugging seats that are worth much beyond regional riding… I’ve tried, but…
