So I'm going to make a plate like this.

Default Who knows what different tank works?

Id like to get a larger stretched tank and a seat that won’t come over the tank. Any ideas

Not sure it will work but HD has been known to screw up part numbers (hence how we found out that their fuel cover part # was wrong).

Good luck.

I just cut it to fit and tapped the holes. The tools I used were a grinder with cutting wheel, bench grinder to clean up cuts, tap set to thread the holes, and some flat black rustoleum. I have a big bucket of random bolts from various projects so I just found 2 that had the same thread, cut them to length, and used them for my bolts. The hole separation is 1 inch from center. It's crazy to me why they didn't just use the same top plate, OR engineer the dash to mount in the same way. You'd think they could save money on part production by doing that...but who knows...
Do you happen to remember the bolt size/thread pitch you used?? Thanks

Honestly, no. I just grabbed a bolt out of my box of random bolts and tapped the bracket to match the thread pitch.

Welcome to the forum Peter,

I had the part n°'s laying around here, so her you go

- Console : 71340-11 ( black )
- Trim insert : 72775-11
- Runner : 71576-08A you need 2 pcs.
- Topplate ; 60900001 - this part is not needed, you can alter the one you have the easy way as I told vtc.
