Glad you finally managed to have the chromed Blackline console installed.
I like the look of it on your bike! I had mine installed too and I must say it's one of the mods I appreciate the most on my bike.

That's crazy that the mold was warped. Glad it worked out in the end even though its not ideal.

Does this mod require different risers or are the stock going to work just fine?

No different risers required. Works fine with stock risers. But it's close, only about 5 mm clearance between bottom of speedo and the console.

My blackline top plate hits the speedo with stock risers.

What bolt are you guys using to secure the black line cover onto the top plate?

Put my chrome blackline on last weekend and I also had zip for clearance, knowing what everyone else has said I rechecked everything 3 times and still I could put blue tape between and when turning the speedo would hit the tape. Console sits flat and is torqued down proper. Now I do have extended reach bars on but no change in the risers so I added two flat washers under each riser and I now have clearance. Of course the washers look like hell so I have some aluminum spacers coming which will raise it 1 inch, better more then less. So not all consoles are going on smooth. Some bumps in the road are to be expected when you Mod.

I would loosen the front bolt on the fuel tank and try to push it down. Hold it while tightening. I bet there might be enough play in that hole to make the difference.

The same bolt that secures the stock console to the stock plate.
