I would like to know what you use on your windshields when it rains. I usually try not to ride in rain but there are times I do get caught in it. I realized today when I tried the deluxe out it willl be difficult to see through it In the rain. I use rain x on my car window but its says not for plastic. So I came here for advice a d please let me know where to get it.
Are you saying that the windshield is above your eye level? That is not generally standard. Top of the windshield is usually 2-3 inches below eye level. IOW you wouldn't be looking through the shield. I have tried the dish soap trick on my helmet visor which helps with beading and fog.
+1 on Plexus. When I was in law enforcement we were issued Plexus to clean our light bars. I've used them on my POV to keep the headlights and tail lights clean and looking new. I agree with thread stopper . . . Good enough for aircraft canopies good enough for my windshield

You must be using a different Rain-X than I have! The orange gallon jugs here don't say anything about plastic, and the small yellow squirt bottles of full strength Rain-X say to use it on glass, acrylic, & polycarbonate plastics. I just take a paper towel and wet it with the orange Rain-X and clean my HD windshield. Works fine.
As for the aircraft stuff - it's nothing but overpriced Rain-X. There's actually a National Stock Number (NSN) for Rain-X: 7930-01-434-2070.
