Default Breakout Pros and Cons

WTF is all that about? Why BO doesn't have this kind of thread and the other model does?

What are your PROs and CONs?

I love mine, and ya don't see ten of them parked at every watering hole. The only con I have is only temporary, as aftermarket parts are slowly hitting the market.

Didn't you get questions from different people like "what Harley is that" "I never heard of it" And in the end after they found out things came stock was like "Nice cool bike"

Pros:

-COMPLETELY new look... with 'muscle' theme... outside the 'box' so to speak.
-Great handling
-comfortable ( I'm 5'7")

cons:

-Not a lot of aftermarket...yet... give it time.
-rear pillion SUX for 2 up.... Sundowner upgrade is 1000% better
-Riding without the pillion loses the lower back support it provides... solo stock seat has no lower support and you tend to slide back, causing undue strain as you try to keep your @$$ in the seat.

I love my Breakout and the OL loves to ride as well.... 200-300+ mile trips are great with no complaints from me or the OL.

Pros:

- Already comes with FAT A$$ - don't need to spend $5,000 to modify it
- Not many people have them "yet"
- Looks great, drives great, and I get lots of compliments
- Cost a fraction of what custom bike shops sell their bikes for
- Metric folks are envious

Cons:

- Crappy aftermarket selection on exhaust and parts in general
- Soon a lot of people will have them and they won't be so "rare"
- HD wants to overcharge on them - don't give in, I paid $19,350.00 out the door
- Seat sucks - no aftermarket options ready yet
- Factory exhaust sucks - but what bikes doesn't, seriously
- Pricey - see above price I paid
- Color choices for 2014 SUCK (2013 colors were way better)
- 103b vibrates more then I expected and is underpowered (should have came with SE 110)

Would I purchase again, hell ya, although I think I would have ponied up the cash for the 2013 CVO Molten Silver instead of the standard Breakout only because I still drool over that paint job and the BIG ENGINE.

At the end of the day my advice to you is to ask yourself do you want a FAT A$$ and Front Rake, if the answer is yes, you have your answer on whether or not to get a BO.

Forgot to add that damned kickstand (jiffy stand as Harley calls them) - it does suck. Its' taught me to leave my bike in gear though all the time.

PROS:

Looks fantastic stock, and amazing with only a few changes
Rides great stock when solo
240 rear without $$$$$
Great power/weight for non CVO, really wakes up with a few mods. No trouble keeping up with a 107 RK with major motor work and all I have is a Power Vision/E/I.
Stock seat is very comfortable (for stock, with pillion on)
Semi-rare for now. Only seen 1 other in person out riding.
Stock wheels are some of the nicest harley has offered IMO (not counting Screaming Eagles/CVO's/upgrade options). The contrast cut 21" is really sharp.

CONS:

Once back pillion is removed stock seat is awful, and no one makes a good solo seat (yet, Danny Gray says 4-8 weeks)
Kickstand is a POS
Lack of aftermarket for now (in areas that are not compatible with other bikes)
You can lean her pretty good, but if you like to ride on the edge and especially if you lower it, scraping the primary is in your future.

Pros - as everyone else has stated .... great looking bike PERIOD ...
Rides awesome , handles great
Love the wheels
Price in Canada is a little steep IMO but I really wanted this style of bike ...

Cons ... - As everyone has stated as well ... the seat option is lame ... I am waiting on Danny Gray as well and told it will be ready shortly..
The dam throttle cable thing really pisses me off how it touches the tank when the front is turned to the right as far as it can ... That will be fixed soon
