That would be the "People's Choice" bike..

IMO, even better to get picked by Peers...

Thanks for the pictures Bob. That is at the top of my mods list this winter. I am going to send them off to get cut then send the heads back out to make sure they have been done and done right. If they are not I am going to get them flowed, ported and polished and get a 5 point cut on my valves. I will address valve springs and new rings as need be, this motor only has a little over 4K on it. That might be all that I do this winter too. I want another rear fender so I can stretch it but I have a new goal and that is to retire so I need to learn how to slow down and to do 1 thing at a time. Again, thanks for all the kind words.

Tony just an fyi, alot of times port, polish can hurt the atomization of fuel/air and your better off doing nothing there. talk to a couple engine builders for racecar motors to see who they would recommend.

Which part of Illinois are you in Tony? next summer maybe we can hook up at the river for a steak or something!!!

Hey Juiced Duece, what's up? I live about 2 miles south of rt 80 and I am guessing about 100 miles east of the Iowa/Illinois state line. As far as getting my heads done, I have never heard that before. That will be something I look into before I do it now that you brought it up. I have the SE heads on it now and I was told they were done before I bought the bike. I just think it's odd that the guy had a receipt for every single thing he said was done to the bike or added to the bike but no receipt for that. Since they will be off anyway I will send them out to make sure that if they were done they were done right or have them done if they haven't been. I will also upgrade my valve springs, valves and have the valves done with a 5 point cut if need be too. I'm running low on cash so I probably won't be doing much before tax rebate time so I have plenty of time to look into all of this. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Less than optimum atomization of the fuel with heads that have been ported, polished and flowed? I would like to know or talk to anyone who knows about this, either way, before I do it. Hmmm, maybe I will just start a new thread concerning this since not all might read this post.

i am thinking a ride to the border is in order for us next summer. i live just north of waterloo, probably 150 miles from dubuque or 200 from quad cities rock island area. i would definately enjoy hooking up for a ride, chow and showing off 2 nice scoots.
