How do you like that rechargeable - how long does it hold a charge?
I know I can add one anytime, I can just sync it like I did the battery unit.

..although the steep $90 price tag is typical H-D

 

I just bought a brand new Breakout, read the seciton in the owner's manual about the security system, and really am not sure I understand it. It does not seem well written to me.

What I bought was the $395 option as part of the new bike deal,and no additional options related to security.

So, here are my questions:

- What did I get and what did I not get with my purchase as part of the new bike deal?

- Does that $395 option protect the bike only against unauthorized ignition activation, or does it also protect against jostling or whoelsale movement of the bike, and if so, how? (audible deterrent or ??)

- What additional pieces do I need to buy if I want an audible alarmw when the bike is jostled or moved?

- Is it correct that if I add the pager, I can be alerted by the pager that my bike is undergoing (a) an authorized starting attempt, (b) jostling (by person or vehicle), and (c) movement of the entire bike (like e.g. someone trying to roll it up a ramp into a trailer)?

In addition to killing the ignition, the alarm option you got will flash the turn signals if the bike is lifted off the kickstand, and go off from and jolts or vibrations. Its just lights and ignition kill, if you want an audiable alarm, you will need to add it

 

Did you have to lift the bike to do it or did you just go in threw the seat part?

I had to remove the mud guard for access to mount mine. The Rocker doesn't leave much room to work in the area to mount it. AKA rear fender.

 

I think the location and related difficulty of mounting it is a security feature: Imagine how hard it would be for a thief to disarm it in any reasonable period of time.
