Quieter Exhaust

Quieter Exhaust
Posting for a friend, he's looking for some advice for a milder sounding exhaust. He's strongly considering picking up a new softail slim, and will be doing a stage one immediately. He loves the sound of the V&H monster ovals on my street glide, and absolutely hates loud obnoxious exhaust (his words not mine) such as V&H bigshots staggered. I tried telling him the big shots arent that bad when your riding it, but he's convinced he don't want anything that loud. Any advice from those with stage 1 with a quieter exhaust would be greatly appreciated. Slip ons, full exhaust systems, whatever you've got that's not stock and not really loud we'd appreciate any and all input.

My Rush are mild while crusing, but loud when U get on it.
IMO U need longer pipes if U take long trips. at least to the rear axle or more.
Even though my pipes aren't too bad the noise from the staggered pipes get to me after 7-10 hrs in the saddle per day because the front pipes ends right at my ear.
I love the sound and quality of the Rush pipes and would only change them to longer pipes to get the noise to the rear more.
If I do change out what I have I'll be looking at the Bassini Road Rage ll's 2-1 in the long version really hard. I like the looks of them and they are not as loud as the D&D - FC's.
