Default One Inch Seat Springs....Anyone Using Them?

I found a set of one inch tall seat springs and I was wondering if anybody is using them. My only issue is that the one inch might not have enough room and bolting them on might be a PITA. I really want to lower my seat height without spending a lot of $$ and these springs are $10.

Thanks- Adam

No, but I'm curious as to the outcome. Seat height and being pushed forward are two reasons I have hesitated on going with a bobber seat.

I'd agree - probably a pain to install, and I have to wonder how well they will perform - that tight, they'll have almost no give, or they'll bottom out.

$10 is a hamburger, fries, and a drink... why not just go for it? It's barely an investment...

Are you planning to lower the front of the seat too? If not wouldnt the seat be sloped backward and May have a tendency to slide backward on the seat? Something else to consider.

I would recommend making your own lower spring perches, like I did. The lower spring perch is mounted directly onto the flat piece of the frame that goes from one side of the bike to the other behind the fuses. That way the bottom of the spring is lower and gives you room for a longer spring (longer than 1" for sure!!) while still lowering your seat (as compared to a spring perch that is a couple of inches or so above the frame). I have a 5" spring on mine and the seat is still plenty low when I am on it. Any lower and the seat would hit the rear fender on bumps - unacceptable.
