Default Rear tomestone light on deluxe broke?

I was ridding and my buddy who was ridding in back pulled next to me and said my taillight was falling off. I pulled over to find that all three of the bolts that go through the lense and into the housing had snapped off at the mounting tabs anyone else have this happen it's a 07 deluxe that is well taken care of

Talking

Wow no. Bizzar. I wonder if someone backed into it at some point. Not exactly a high stress area.

Default Tail light

I had a problem with mine what it was is the spot where the screws go in ,there is a brass threaded sleeve for each one the sleeves are set into plastic the plastic cracks and then the screws are doing nothing.I used crazy glue and glued every thing back together. This may not be your problem but it will be if you tighten the screws to much. Recently I had one screw come out and disappear I replaced it and put a tiny bit of blue lock tight On it .one of these two situations should be what you will find. If they just vibrated out the tiny bit of lock tight should do t he trick but what ever you do do not over tighten the screws. This is in regulars to the tail light lens not the whole assembly

Any kids around it? Sitting on it or using it as a step could cause that to happen.

No kids go near the bike and i dont think it was hit but you never know . it is exactly what nikonf8 said the plastic broke around the brass sleeves. I will try gluing them on then installing the screws with blue loctite before I spend the $ for a new one
