Some do, some don't, However, most do notice a 5% bump in torque in the low and mid range (where most riding is done), and some also notice the 7% bump in high RPM Horsepower.
Feeding clean air only into your engine not only makes a difference you can feel, but it also makes for a longer lasting engine, and less chance of having to retune it down the road as carbon builds up on the pistons.

Kevin , I understand the clean air aspect of it , im leaning toward and outlaw . Honestly like I mentioned before, it's the cover im wondering about . What is the outside diameter of the filter that is on the outlaw 587? I may just put my own cover on the outside.

Cover options are limitless. We have one Customer that used a frying pan that he cut the handle off of!

..just in the last few weeks here I've seen saw blades, old DVD's, derby covers, plexiglass, paint can lids...
