Default Wide rim on 2002 Night Train

So right now my Night Train is sitting on the stock 3" rim with a ME880 150mm tire that is nearly bald. I want to stick with a 150 or maybe 160, but dont want to keep the narrow wheel. I found this one at J&P:
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/203-294

From what I've seen, a 3-4" rim is good for a 150mm. My question is what will happen to the "actual width" and total height of the tire due to the increased rim width? 2002 is the last year they ran the 130mm stock tire so its been upgraded to the 150mm. No clue what kind of issues that may cause. Has anyone run a 4" wheel with 150 or 160 tire on a pre-200mm softail with stock everything else? (no heartland kit or rsd fender, etc.)

I've gone through that chart many times. I'm more concerned with the results of the different rim width on tire dimensions when mounted.

like it says "roughly each additional 0.5" of rim width will be approximately 0.25" more in each tire width" So will a 150 actually measure 150 wide when on a 3" or a 3.5" or 4" rim?

I have no idea what you have or haven't seen, I contributed something I thought might be helpful. I'll be more careful next time.
Maybe Hogpro will see this and chime in. Or you could PM them.

I do appreciate the help, I just need some personal experiences with the fitment. I've been researching the wheel-tire issue for a while and just want to cover all my bases.

Usually the manufacturer will state the width of rim the tire was measured on, along with the actual width. A general rule is if you use a narrower rim than what they measured on the tire will get narrower and taller, and the opposite for wider rims.
