With a shield... 16 x 16 windvest... Only for the long hauls. I like to look as cool as the next guy without the windshield. I never put the dam thing on unless I am going 500 or more miles. I to think they look like CHIT. They do serve a good purpose and whenever I get to where I need to be this thing comes right off. When I got to Myrtle Beach Bike week as soon as I hit the garage the windshield was the first thing to go.

The 16 X 16 does indeed look like chit.
You should have gone with the 14 X 14. Looks much more at home on a Train.

I went with the Tombstone since I'm on a low fixed budget. At under $70 I have no complaints. I would rather have the Windvest though.

GeorgeC you paid full price for yours, I paid $125. EBay special. For that price it can look like chit for all I care. Like I said, its on for long hauls only not highway trips to friends house.

The last thing I worry about is saving a couple of bucks. If it doesn't look good, I won't buy it..
The 14 X 14 looks acceptable IMHO....

I'm 6'2", and I got the 16" smoked Windvest. I swore it'd never happen, but it makes a huge difference with highway riding. I powdercoated the brackets black, and I think it looks decent on the bike. The really nice thing is that it makes riding in the rain much easier....My face still gets wet, but it's from water coming off the shield, not the falling rain.

I told myself I was only going to use it on long trips, but I've found that I'm leaving it on if there's any chance I'm going on the highway, or any chance of rain.

rthomp159,
That looks badass on your bike!!! It looks right at home on there. I'd like to have one for long trips. But don't know how it would look with apes.

Ive got to agree here, I hate the look of a windshield on a night train. But if I had to get one it would be detachable.

I agree... my buddy has a wind shield on his fatty... we bust his ***** all the time. he took it off a couple of weeks ago and cried the entire time about the wind. I guess after some time you depend on staying out of the wind.
