cb radio on Fatboy
Hello friends,
End this month i want to go to Faak am See (http://www.hogeuropegallery.com/ebw/)
and I want to communicate with my other club-members on there Electra Glides.
They have already a cb radio on board.
Is there anyone who has experience with building a cb radio on a Fatboy FLSTF?
It is not necessary to use a original Harley CD radio.
Here in Holland I can buy a cb radio set for only €80,-- ( $90,-)
I'm interested in the way other Fatboy rider installed there cb radio.
(Please pictures).
Hope to hear from you?

years ago, i used to have a portable cb radio. it looked like a walkie talkie.
that may be a little easier to mount as the antenna is already attached to it and it might be smaller than a "mobile" unit.
the portable( or handheld as it was called) could be bungeed to the handlebars.
just an idea

i was curious , so i googled small cb radio
this is what i came up with
https://www.cobra.com/detail/75-wx-s...aa-weather.cfm
https://midlandusa.com/cb-radios/pro...5-822cb-radio/
https://midlandusa.com/cb-radios/pro...5-785cb-radio/
looks like the midland has a headset availible as an accessory which may make it "handsfree"
also, have you considered bluetooth communications system?
most of the guys in my riding group use that instead of cb.
new stuff gets excellent range(aprox 3 miles line of sight)
hope this helps
