What the Breakout should have been or can be . . .

To me, the Crossbone looks best with a swingarm mounted fender. That's just the Rocker guy in me talking though.

I agree, we all have different ideas about our ideal ride.

The fairing and chin spoiler do nothing for me, I have never liked those on any bike, and certainly don't want them on mine. I also don't care for that style breather. Lots of other little stylings that are not mine.
The Breakout currently is a better starting point for us to make it the way we want, with the option to head solo or 2-up directions as well.
This may have been the way YOU would want a Breakout, but it isn't how I want mine.

While the rear fender & suspension may look good, it would be worthless where I live. First, your teeth would be rattled out on our crappy roads, and then every time it rained you'd have a streak up and down your back from the water and dirt flung up by the rear tire. Sometimes you need to choose function over fashion.

The stock Breakout looks good, and there are some ideas on the pictured bike which may appeal to some, and not to others.
But that bike has no suspension travel as pictured. So it's basically a rigid. We could tolerate rigid frames when we ran 16" tires, inflated to about 8 or 10 psi (that was our suspension).
But this "running on the bumpstops" bike with a low-profile tire is basically useless for anything other than driveway jewelry.
