FXSTC Chrome Rear 40 spoke Profile Wheel
I am about to finally buy a rear spoked wheel for my Softail. I have debated it for many months on which way to go... stay with spokes and buy a rear to match or go with cast wheels?
I found hdwheels.com and they make a rear 40 spoke 17x6 profile wheel that will match my front. They also make a wheel called an Apollo SL, which is a lower profile wheel that shows off more of the spokes. If you aren't familiar with the profile wheel, it is a wheel that comes on the FXSTC's that is a sort of a half moon rim.... there is no lip or whatever where the spokes are. So it is very hard to find a rim to match. There are plenty of chrome 40 spoke wheels and they can be about $500, but they have the lip and wouldn't match the front.
The 17x6 Profile wheel is $995 and the Apollo SL is $1195. The upside to going this route is not having to buy a front. The downside is these spoke wheels are friggin expensive....but ever since I bought my scoot, I have wanted a rear spoke wheel (or at least cast wheels that match).
My question is, does anyone with an FXST or FXSTC have one of these profile wheels and how do they look?

I agree on the profile wheels, they are beautiful for sure and another thing is, you don't see them very much...which I love!
