Default Question for those running the HD led headlight

I just installed it on my fatboy lo and I see that I have to adjust it downwards because everyone is flashing me, but I also noticed that when I put the high beams on it barely changes anything, it only gives a drop more light. Did anyone else have this?

I've got the headlamp and spot lamps on my Deluxe and didn't need to adjust the way the lamp pointed to the road. Are other drivers possibly flashing because of the intensity of the lamp and not the way it's aimed?

If aimed correctly I don't think the intensity should bother them. What about your high beam? Do you see a big difference from the low beam?

I had the dealer install the LED when I got my Fatboy. I noticed the same issue, oncoming cars were always flashing me and when I was behind a car my light was shining directly into their rear window. It was so bad that several time cars would pull over and let me pass. It seems that the LED when mounted in the same housing does shine higher than the standard light. The manual has instructions on adjusting the headlight but I just had the dealer do it. There is a noticable difference between the low and high beam. I can't really tell the difference unless I'm on a dark road then the difference is very apparent.

I just read some other posts on the LED and it seems that when the LED is installed it does require an alignment.

When adjusted correctly you will notice a big difference between the low and hi beam. your hi beam must be pointing to far up to shine on the road. I had this problem when I put the LED's on my Ultra.

Whoa... I just checked. 500 for one of these. Do they make 500.00 worth of difference?

Safety is worth more than $500.00 to me. I had the same issue.... I installed the light in the housing in the same position as the stock lamp, and I noticed when going through a tunnel or overpass, I couldn't see the light on the road. I had the dealer adjust it down, although, if you don't mind fiddling with it in the street at night, then it's easy to do yourself.
