Default Can't tell if this is an optical illusion...

Looking at my bike from the back, it almost looks like the rear wheel is out
of alignment top to bottom ! Is this possible ?
I'm trying to upload a crude drawing I made to show it .
It's a bit exaggerated, but hope it makes the point.

Has anyone seen this? is there an adjustment for this ?

just another note on this - the bike rides fine, which is weird.
the belt has proper tension, and the axle adjusters are both measuring the same
with a straightedge graduated in 32nds.

the rear axle diameter is slightly smaller than the mounting slot in the swingarm.
Perhaps it centers itself weird when I tighten it up ?

well, when I first picked up the bike and towed it home -
the trailer was rear ended, and the bike took a beating.
I know the fender sits a hair cockeyed because of a slight bend in
the fender mounting rail.

It just looks so dam crooked to me. I'll have to get an actual pic when its
light out tomorrow.

I bet it is the fender, unless you have a bend in the swingarm are somehow.

BTW did you go to art school to be able to make that pic.

If the rear wheel was out - you'd know it. It'd be very difficult to handle. You wouldn't have to ask. Look at the fender.

I know if the rear wheel is out in relation to the front, it'll track bad and do all kinds of crazy stuff.
I wasn't sure about a wheel being out the other way.

Learned to draw w Microsoft office when i was building web sites. I can draw a picture quicker than with a pencil.

I would check wear on tire. If unven then something is out of wack. Otherwise it is the fender playing tricks on you.

use a plumb-bob and line it up with the tire and then seat and bars and that will tell you if its the tire or not, sounds like a trick to the eyes

If the axle is not in straight the tire can be cocked but not in teh direction you are referring to. If one side of the axle is further forward that the other the wheel will be farther forward on one side, further back on the other.
