I like the ball bat idea. I had a full size red pickup cross over two lanes (turnning left) and moo'd right on over into the lane I was in. Both his windows were down and I KNOW heard me. Couldn't find my horn fast enough so I yelled at him though his passenger window as I swerved and passed him.

Went to the hospital to get it checked, got it all documented, for insurance. wasn't much to look at, it didn't start swelling badly until i got home. Most of the swelling subsided by the next morning, switching every 20 mins between ice and heat

Glad to hear it wasn't worse, as it certainly could've been.

Was there any damage to that beautiful paint job you recently had done?

Theres a small paint chip on the right side saddlebag lid, where the latch got pressed into it (top right corner of the latch). Not too bad I'm thinking, a scuff on the front side. hopefully Corey can fix it. But its not that bad, I could live with a touch up, the paint is bound to get wear and tear eventually, just kinda sucks that its only a month old, and never even got to a show yet.

I just got back on a bike after a couple of years hiatus. Need to tune up my idiot avoidance system quick.

I never took the crash bars seriously as a safety item. Learn something every day.
