Regret Changeing Exhaust

RE: Regret Changeing Exhaust
My bike had V&h Longshots on it when I bought it. After a few thousand miles I'd had enough and wanted something quieter. All my riding friends were tellin' me to NOT switch. They said I'd regret it.
Well, I swapped my Longshots for a set of SE 16 Double Barrels last November. I've been happy as can be the entire time!

When I purchased my '07 custom I had the dealer put V&H BR on it before I took delivery. Well, I love the tone, noise and the looks. One problem is, when I ride on dirt, or hit some sand, it blows it back on my wheel.(Going through alot of SemiChrome) If I had known that, I think I would have gone with something else.

Ive got the rush slip ons, 2.0 baffles. There perfect, deep and loud when you get on it , but like stock when your cruising.
ORIGINAL: Grey Biker
I installed a V.H. big shot long exhaust on my 06 Heritage Classic. I find that this exhaust system is very loud, however it has no or very little tone. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't. Has anyone ever ben displeased with their exhaust after installed.

Does anyone know if V&H make quiet baffles for the regular Straight Shots (NOT HS)?
It's for "just in case". I really like the volume and tone of the pipes, but I think they're going to be considerably loder with the headwork and cams I've had done over the winter.
Cheers!

haze in the house!!! I like my D&D Boarzilla 2 in 1 up-swept header, yes it's on loud side, have performance baffle, but hard to say when you say loud, mine is not to loud if not on it, but when you take off from light and dial it on it's wicked, thegrowl they make get's car's attention, and i like it, and cruising highway at 70 80 or more you can not hear noise, just well tuned bike, I think there is differance, but it's your call, I had Lead Wing long time ago, flat 4 cylinder , it was to damn quiet.
