Looks good! I did the same thing with my console over the past winter and am quite happy with how it turned out and is holding up. I also did the gas cap and fuel guage dummy cap.. Not so fond of how they turned out and am looking at doing something else with those.
I have only had a Harley for a bit over a year now and was surprised at how Carbon Fiber hadn't really hadn't really made its way to Harleys yet. I hate using vinyl instead of the real stuff but this 3M vinyl looks and feels so real, and is so great to work with.

The "cheap vinyl" is the same material I had...excuse me, my sponsor wrapped my bass boat in and it held up just fine. This was an experimental project that has seemed to find more places to be applied.
