I wish I could help, but I never put my baffles in, so I would have no clue how to take them out. Give Samson a call in the morning, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you out. But please post your results here, because I'd like to know how to get em out. At some point I want to try and run with the baffles but would like to know how to get em out if I have to. Thanks

Samson wasn't much help. First they said they weren't removable and then I pointed out they were and to look at their description on their website. Then the guy said to take the fastener out and it will slide out......Well I went home at lunch and tried again. I used a small pair of vise grips to clamp on the baffle and a pair of channel locks to grip the vise grips. I beat the **** out of the channel locks on the left pipe and it finally slide out. The right side I can't budge. Not sure what to do next.
The carbon builds up in there...try a penetrating oil that you can spray in with a nozzle that sticks out of the spray tip (like a WD-40 can and tip) This should work but its going to smoke and stink for a couple minutes when you start it back up again.

Depending on what baffles you are running I have used a dent puller with a hook I fastened at the end of it that attaches to the cross bar in the baffle that works quite well even after carbon build up.

I had no idea they would be that much of a pain to remove. Now I'm kinda scared to actually put the baffles in for fear that I won't be able to take em out. With that much work, I'm scared my dumbazz will damage something.

I sprayed WD-40 on it at lunch. Hopefully it does the trick.

I apologize that you didn't get much help when you called in. Since we just moved you might have spoken to someone who wasn't quite sure how to properly remove the baffles. Once the carbon gets built up in there they can be quite a pain to remove.

I was able to get the other baffle out and man was it a pain in the ***. The metal tab that you grip on to is now bent and my brand new pipe has a dent from the inside out. This happened because of the bent metal tab. Not happy about that!!
Baffle-less is the way to go!! These pipes sound so mean without them.
