Minimum of 6" between center of the lights. State inspectors pop the Sport bike crew all the time for using their one center tail light signal light setup. My signals have the Harley relocation pedestals, and I saw the inspector taping it. He also puts a mirror behind my air-filter checking hoses. I am sure you fender is wider then 6"
I sure am glad I don't have to get my bike inspected up there. In the SC part of the state it is much of an inspection.
