Yea, gonna try to add some oil if I can't fish it out with the tool or with the hanger.

I asked her if we had a turkey baster but of course we didn't, I could have just gone to the supermarket 4 blocks away from the house and bought one but of course I didn't think of that till afterwards lol

The snot picker should work but if not take the filter off a shop vacuum (since you have residual oil).
Place a screen (panty hose/ window screen/ thin sock.. something) at the motor suction end of vacuum hose.
Tape a small diameter hose to vacuum hose and go searching until you find it.

If all of the oil is out, can you try making an adapter for a shop vac to get into the tank? Had to do that to fish broken glass from inside a fog light assembly....

Get a probe camera to find it first. They're a little expensive but you might borrow one.

Affix a sturdy pin or needle to a long screw driver and jab the plastic syringe and pull out. If that does not work I would revert to the tool shown. Buy a turkey baster when at the store too. I have had to use it more than once. Slight hijack here but I can't find my stock oil dip stick, I am running the old analog style temp gauge and it has 2 oil level marks on it but the top one, I assume is the "fill line" is really low, down deep in the tank. That can't be the oil fill line, can it? My oil level is a good 3"'s higher in my tank on this style dipstick. On a stock dipstick how high is the fill line on it? I have never had an issue with overfill or blowing my dip stick out like I have read here by a few guys. The top line on this stick is only about an inch and a half up on this stick from the bottom of it, that can't be right, can it?
